Glazing Safety Design
When it comes to glass JPF takes health and safety very seriously. Glass should be handled as set out by GGF (the glass and glazing federation) and areas of the building which are a potencial hazard will be safety glass. JPF always glaze in accordance with Part N & K of the building regulations in mind taking into account British standard BS6262 when ever required.
Normal safety glass supplied by JPF is laminated, toughened or heat soaked toughened. There are instances where we may use laminated toughened glass but the residual strength and post failure behaviour must then be considered.
