Bolted Glazing
Our spider fittings are made from 316 stainless steel and come in varying configerations to suit the application, glazing options varying between 10mm and 42mm thickness.
The external pane of glass is countersunk to provide a flush face from the external view point, this type of glazing is synonomous with the modern day architectural developments reducing the visual barrier between the internal and external of the building.
Finite element analysis is used to determine the glass thickness dependent on the stress in the glass and the deflection between fixing points.
The fittings also have the option to be articulated which reduces the stress at the bolt hole, this increaces the deflection so measures are taken to ensure that it is visually comfortable like increaseing the thickness of glass or changing the point support locations.
